Position holder students given cash prizes, medals

CHARSADDA: The second and third position holders of Peshawar Model School’s Charsadda branch in the matriculation examination were awarded with prizes and medals here on Sunday.

A special function was held in the school, where 15 other students of the school were rewarded for being among the top 20 positions in the examination conducted by the BISE Peshawar.


Controller of examinations Hamidullah Khattak was the chief guest, while Secretary BISE Peshawar Bakhtiar Ahmed and dean of the University of Peshawar, Bushra Hameed, were the guests of honour who gave away prizes to the students.

The teachers of the school with best performances were also awarded with cash prizes and golden rings. The position holders were also given laptops and cash prizes.

On the occasion, the chief guest praised the performance of the school in providing quality education which was reflected in the shining results of the school in the matriculation examination. He said the privately-managed school was contributing to the quality education in the province.

Mr Khattak mentioned the efforts of BISE Peshawar to weed out the menace of unfair means and cheating in the examinations and said no compromise would be made in ensuring merit and transparency in the examination system.

Earlier, the school principal Nusrat Nazir presented the progress report of the school and said Aliza Gul and Maria Maqsood had clinched the second and third positions in the board examinations, last year, while 15 others were among those bagging top 20 positions.

He said the school was also making progress in co-curricular activities and character building of the students to make them trustworthy members of the society.
