COMSATS Abbottabad Freelancing Bootcamp 2017
For the promotion of freelancing and to build up the self-confidence of the Pakistani workforce, COMSATS institute of information technology, Abbottabad organized a one-day event called Freelancing Bootcamp 2017 in January.
This event was sponsored by Payoneer while Dr. Khan Gul Jadoon participated as the Chief Guest.
It saw freelancers as well as CIIT alumni take the center stage, which included Naqi Azam and Ehtesham Hameed.
They shared their freelancing experiences to tell the audience about the pros and cons of freelancing.
Afterwards, a presentation was delivered by Mr. Usman Shahzada, Assistant System Analyst at CIIT Abbottabad, who gives details on how you can become a freelancer and from where you can start.
History, hiring procedure as well as functions of different marketplaces like PeoplePerHour, Freelancer, Upwork and Fiverr were also discussed by Mr. Usman.
Towards the end of the event, certificates were also distributed among the partakers acknowledging their motivation to begin freelancing.
TECHIES Winter Camp 2017
To cater to the interest shown by the partakers, COMSATS IT Center is holding another event entitled as TECHIES Winter Camp 2017.
This event was started on January 30th, 2017 and will continue till next four weeks.
