Introduction:
Dialogue
is an exchange of ideas, views, arguments, and information, generally between
two persons. It is essentially an oral activity. Even if it takes a written
form, it would still retain its spoken element. A written dialogue is like
talking on a piece of paper.
A
dialogue requires a free, frank and informal expression. The use of ’slang’ is
also permissible, so as long as we do not overdo it. In a dialogue we have
short, quick exchanges, agreements, disagreements, rebuttal and the like. The
most important thing in a dialogue is to take care of social and linguistic
norms. The students should make best possible use of this unique mode of
communication. Good Luck!
