Riphah International University and Rescue 1122 jointly organised a seminar on ‘Disaster Risk Management’ here on Monday.
The purpose of the seminar was to equip the university students with the latest developments and trends in the emergency and relief activities. District Emergency Officer (DEO) Dr. Abdul Rehman was the guest speaker in the seminar. Large number of students participated in the seminar.
Riphah and Rescue 1122 have signed an MoU in which both organisations will work toward the improvement of efforts in preventing, rescuing and rehabilitating the disaster affected communities of the country. Rescue 1122 has conducted several CPR and First-Aid training sessions at different campuses of Riphah International University.
Students of Riphah University have actively been participating in road safety campaigns in collaboration with Rescue 1122. Riphah and Rescue 1122 have jointly been doing various programmes on Riphah FM 102.2 for public awareness with regards to disaster preparedness and emergency relief activities.
