A Rainy Day in Summer

A rainy day in summer always brings a lot of delight for all the people. In summer there is extreme heat and scarching winds. The sky was clear, and the bright sun burnt the earth men, beasts and birds gasped for breadth.

Soon a wind sprang up. Thick dark clouds appeared in the north and covered the sky in no time. They flashed and thundered first it began to drizzle and then it came down in big drops. It rained heavily for two or three hours. The water poured down the spouts. 

Soon the streets were filled with water. They looked like canals. The water was knee-deep. The boys ran about in the streets. They floated paper boats. The air became cool and pleasant. The head disappeared and the weather became ideal. The trees became fresh and green. A rainbow appeared in the sky. The boys enjoyed swigs. The roads became muddy and slippery. Many trees were uprooted by strong wind. Some houses also collapsed causing great damage. Many birds fell down and died. The cops were also damaged. But with all this everybody welcomed the rain as it gave great relief from the burning heat of summer.
