Basic Input/Output
Basic Input/Output
Until now, the example programs of previous sections provided very little interaction with the user, if any at all.
Using the standard input and output library, we will be able to interact with the user by printing messages on the
screen and getting the user's input from the keyboard.
C++ uses a convenient abstraction called streams to perform input and output operations in sequential media such as the screen or the keyboard. A stream is an object where a program can either insert or extract characters to/from it. We do not really need to care about many specifications about the physical media associated with the stream - we only need to know it will accept or provide characters sequentially.
The standard C++ library includes the header file iostream, where the standard input and output stream objects are declared.
Standard Output (cout)

Operators
Operators
Once we know of the existence of variables and constants, we can begin to operate with them. For that purpose, C++ integrates operators. Unlike other languages whose operators are mainly keywords, operators in C++ are mostly made of signs that are not part of the alphabet but are available in all keyboards. This makes C++ code shorter and more international, since it relies less on English words, but requires a little of learning effort in the beginning.

Non-formal education way forward to achieve high literacy rate
“Without non-formal education, we will not be able to achieve 90% literacy rate & 100% enrollment as targeted in the vision 2025 of Pakistan to achieve universal primary education. For this purpose National Commission for Human Development has been tasked to prepare a realistic action plan with appropriate programme interventions and necessary resources to achieve its targets for a literate society for Pakistan”. This was observed by the chairperson NCHD Razina Alam Khan while sharing with senior management regarding her experience of two weeks visit to Japan as head of Pakistan education delegation to study the Japanese education system.
She said that National Education Policy was an excellent strategy towards promotion of literacy which will help in standardizing literacy & non formal programs in the country. She asked the senior managers to prepare accelerated syllabus for out of school children keeping in view the skill training & technical aspects. She urged for robust monitoring and evaluation program for real time monitoring of literacy drive of NCHD. She observed that multigrade teaching required specific training and this aspect of prime importance should not be neglected.
Meanwhile, Chairperson NCHD in a message on occasion of International Women Day said it reminds us that women are pivotal entity of a family and first teacher to the child. This year theme is very exciting, which says: “Be Bold for Change”. This theme has been elaborated as, “Each one of us — with women, men and non-binary people joining forces — can be a leader within our own spheres of influence by taking bold pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity. Through purposeful collaboration, we can help women advance and unleash the limitless potential offered to economies the world over.”
